Free for players and GMs

Find a D&D group or a DM — no account needed.

RoleCall is a free D&D and TTRPG group finder — and the shared campaign space that keeps the table together after session three.

Your seat A player card takes two minutes

Looking for a table?

A two-minute player card: your vibe, your systems, when you can play. Paste the link into any Discord, or apply with it straight to an open game. Read the GM's profile before you commit.

No account — one email confirms your card and gives you a rolecall.games link to paste anywhere.

Running a game?

Bring the campaign you already run, or list an open seat. Scheduling your players vote on, campaign prep, session notes they can read, and Discord pings when a session is scheduled, cancelled, or starting. Works with Obsidian and Foundry VTT.

Free account — Google, Discord, or email. Charge for seats through Stripe only if you want to.

Find a table where you actually belong

Make a card, or an account

A player card needs one email and about two minutes — no password, no account. Sign up instead and the same answers become a permanent profile at rolecall.games/yourname.

Cozy? Grimdark? Yes. RoleCall's vibe sliders — setting table tone, darkness, lethality, combat and roleplay

Set the table you want

Sliders for tone, darkness, lethality, combat and roleplay, plus the systems you play and when you're free. That's what a GM reads instead of a two-line LFG post.

A RoleCall Game Master profile — systems they run, GM style, and player reviews

Read the GM before you commit

Every game hangs off a GM profile: the systems they run, how they run a table, and the safety tools they use. Open it without an account and decide before session zero, not after.

Take the seat

Express interest in tables that fit and lock in your seat. Scheduling polls are built in, and with a free account RoleCall can ping you on Discord when a session is scheduled, cancelled, or starting.

Make your player card

Running the game? The prep tools don’t care which system it is.

None of these branch on which system your campaign is. Run Pathfinder on Tuesday and Call of Cthulhu on Thursday out of the same account, with the same prep.

Campaign prep that's just prose

Scenes, chapters, locations, NPCs, loot, magic items and quests are freeform text. Write a Call of Cthulhu handout and a Daggerheart scene in the same builder, and neither one asks you for an armour class.

A live session canvas

Twelve floating tools — NPCs, encounters, quests, lore, recaps, scenes, shared table notes, story flags — on a pan-and-zoom canvas that remembers where you put everything.

Encounters in six shapes

Combat, social, puzzle, skill challenge, trap, exploration. Combatants are typed in freehand, so a system with no monster manual works exactly as well as one with six.

Set it once, every campaign inherits it

Session Zero, recap rotation and after-session surveys resolve campaign override → your GM defaults → the built-in default. Decide how you like to run a table once; every campaign you start picks it up.

Your notes, your tools

Push your Obsidian vault's Published folder straight to your campaign's notes site — the GM folder never leaves your machine — and export scenes into Foundry VTT as journal entries.

Seats, invites and applications

Shareable invite links that survive sign-up, an interested-players inbox, co-GMs with the same permissions you have, and roster changes in one move.

That’s the short list. See everything RoleCall does for GMs →

More than a D&D & TTRPG group finder — it's where the campaign lives

Finding a good TTRPG group shouldn't require posting in twelve Discord servers and hoping for the best. Know who you'll be playing with and what they're like before you even sign up for a game.

🎲

23 systems, not just D&D

Dungeons & Dragons 5e and 5.5e, Pathfinder, Daggerheart, Call of Cthulhu, Blades in the Dark, Vampire: The Masquerade — and "Other" if yours isn't listed. In person or online.

📅

Scheduling Both Sides Can See

Propose dates, everyone votes yes / maybe / no, and the whole table sees the board — players get the same view as the GM, not a read-only copy. Add the session to your calendar.

Get Paid To Run Games

Connect Stripe, set your price, keep every cent of it — players cover the booking fee on top. Cards are authorized, not charged, until you end the session.

🛡️

Safety Tools Built In

GMs list which safety tools their table uses — X-Card, Lines & Veils, Open Door Policy, Script Change, Stars & Wishes — and you can filter open games by them. Session Zero is built in: the GM picks the topics, shares the questionnaire, and sees who has answered before session one.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to find a group?

No. A player card takes about two minutes and one email to confirm — no password and no account. It gives you a public rolecall.games link you can paste into any Discord or LFG thread, and you can apply to an open game with it. Cards run for a week, and become a full profile the moment you sign up.

Is RoleCall free?

Yes — free to browse, free to make a player card or a profile, and free to run a campaign. Nothing is behind a subscription. The only money that moves is between a GM and their players: a GM can charge for seats through Stripe if they want to, and players cover the booking fee on top.

Can I use RoleCall for a group I already have?

Yes, and that is most of what it does. Bring a campaign you already run and you get scheduling polls the whole table votes on, session notes your players can read, campaign prep for NPCs, scenes, locations, loot and lore, and Discord pings when a session is scheduled, cancelled, or starting. You never have to list an open seat.

I run games — what do I get?

A free campaign space at rolecall.games: freeform prep, a live session canvas, an encounter builder, scheduling both sides can see, session notes with per-person audiences, and applications that arrive as cards with a fit grade against your listing. It works with Obsidian — push your vault's Published folder to your campaign's notes site — and with Foundry VTT, which pulls your scenes in as journal entries.

Which systems does RoleCall support?

23 in the picker — Dungeons & Dragons 5e and 5.5e, Pathfinder, Daggerheart, Call of Cthulhu, Blades in the Dark, Vampire: The Masquerade and more — plus free text for anything that isn't listed. None of the prep, scheduling or session tools branch on which system you picked.
